The Challenge
Our client, a Fortune 100 company and the world’s largest independent exploration and production company, invested twenty billion dollars in a new project in Australia. For compliance reasons, it was imperative that staff were trained prior to the launch date in all areas of induction, safety, IT systems, and counter-terrorism.
Given the scope of the project, the Company sent out a Request for Proposal to find the best eLearning partner. This partner was to dev2elop the more than sixty eLearning modules initially required plus produce all the on-going eLearning work.
The organisation had a history of forming supplier partnerships for the long term, so after a rigorous selection process, The Learning Factor was selected as their preferred training partner.
Our Approach
The Learning Factor immediately established a dedicated project team headed up by a Managing Consultant. In partnership with the Company’s Subject-Matter Experts (SMEs), a project management framework was formed.
The project team established the following protocols:
- Project definition, project work plan, and the project management procedures
- Weekly reviews of all projects to assess risks, milestones, and overall value
- Communication structure to support effective stakeholder communication and collaboration
The Learning Factor also deployed a highly experienced team of eLearning dev2elopers and instructional designers who all began immediate production. The desired goal was to exceed the Company’s expectations, provide scalability for their growing needs, and meet tight deadline schedules.
The Results
With a dedicated team of dev2elopers based in Australia and India, The Learning Factor continues to meet every deadline and project milestone that has been agreed with the client. The Key Project Stakeholder has been blown away with our level of commitment and in only a matter of weeks, our team received positive feedback from procurement, stakeholders, and SMEs. In fact, the Company expressed that they had never worked with a partner who was able to scale up as quickly and as smoothly as their business needs dictate.
As a result, the Company has now seen a remarkable turnaround in production; and we are told that even the senior executive team are smiling. Go team!
